I am a Qualified, Experienced and Professionally Accredited Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Supervisor.
I hold an M.A. in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling (Distinction) from Regents College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (accredited by City University).
In addition, I earned my B.A. in Women’s Studies from Yale University (Distinction), and an additional M.A. in Composing Music for Film and Television (Distinction) from Kingston University.
I also trained with the esteemed psychodynamic therapist Michael Jacobs, and have a Certificate in Supervision from the University of Leicester.
I have earned additional certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Hypnotherapy and Mediation.
Additional Trainings
I have also attended many relevant short professional trainings on issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress, Survivors of Sexual Abuse, Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse, Adult Children of Alcoholics, Domestic Violence, Working with the Queer Communities, Cross Cultural Counselling, Solution Focussed Therapy and Healing the Child Within. I am committed to my own continuing professional development.
Professional Accreditation
I have been a Senior Accredited Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) for over 20 years, and abide by their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions.
Professional Experience
I have worked within the Residential Alcohol Treatment field, outpatient addiction services, HIV services, services for Survivors of Sexual Abuse, mental health charities and the NHS. I have been solely in Private Practice since 2005.
I have also supervised counsellors within faith based services, in Higher Education, on training courses, and in Private Practice.
Additional Information
I am also an expat (US/UK dual national), a musician and songwriter, wildlife photographer, and long-term practitioner of mindfulness. My own healing journey started at age 20, and I continue to grow and evolve as a person.
